CIPLATRIM is indicated for the management of obesity, including

weight loss as well as maintenance of weight loss. It should be used in

combination with a reduced calorie diet.

Treatment is recommended for obese patients with:

• An initial body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher.

• An initial body mass index of 27 kg/m2 or higher in the presence of

other factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidaemia.

CIPLATRIM should only be administered to patients who have not

demonstrated an adequate response to an appropriate weightreducing

regimen alone, i.e. patients who lost less than 5 kg weight in

3 months.
